Privacy Policy – TapForged

This Privacy Policy explains how TapForged (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles your information across all of our apps. Some apps collect different types of data depending on their features — see the app-specific sections below for details.

General

Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on which app you use and whether cloud features are enabled. Some of our apps work entirely offline and collect no data at all. Others use cloud-based features to sync data across devices. See the app-specific sections below for details on each app.

How We Use Your Information

We use collected information solely to provide and improve our apps. This includes synchronising data across devices, delivering notifications, fixing bugs, and providing customer support. We do not sell or share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-Party Services

Depending on the app, we may use:

Apple App Store — processes all purchases and subscriptions
Google Firebase — anonymous authentication, cloud database, notifications, analytics, and crash reporting where applicable

Each third-party service is governed by its own privacy policy.

Data Storage and Security

Where cloud features are used, data is stored on Google Firebase servers in the United States, encrypted in transit and at rest. For apps that operate entirely on-device, no data is transmitted or stored externally.

International Data Transfers

For apps using cloud services, EEA residents’ data may be transferred to the United States via Google Firebase, with appropriate safeguards under Google’s Data Processing Terms.

Data Retention and Deletion

You can delete individual items within our apps or request full account deletion by contacting support@tapforged.com. Server-side data is permanently removed within 30 days of a deletion request. For apps that store data only on your device, deleting the app removes all data.

Legal Basis for Processing (EEA Users)

Where applicable, processing is based on contract performance, legitimate interests in analytics and app improvement, and explicit consent for notifications.

Children’s Privacy

Our apps are not directed at children under 16 (or 13 where applicable). We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your Rights

You may access, correct, delete, or restrict your data; export data where available; withdraw notification consent; and lodge complaints with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted with a revised date. Continued use of our apps indicates acceptance of the updated policy.

App-Specific Information

Fair

Fair uses Firebase Anonymous Authentication — you are automatically signed in without providing any personal information. No name, email, or password is required.

Data collected:

Anonymous Firebase user ID (not linked to your identity)
Group and expense data stored on Google Firebase (Firestore)
Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens for push notifications when enabled
Analytics and crash reports via Firebase services
Device information for compatibility
In-app purchases handled entirely by Apple

Shared group data: Members of shared groups can access group names, member names, expenses (amounts, descriptions, dates, categories), settlements, and balance information. Only invited users can view group data.

Honest Cleaner

Honest Cleaner operates entirely on your device. No photos, metadata, or personal data are collected, transmitted, or stored on any server.

The app requires photo library read and write access solely to scan for duplicates, screenshots, burst shots, and large videos
Photos are analysed on-device using cryptographic hashing — no images are uploaded anywhere
Deleted items are moved to iOS Recently Deleted, where they can be recovered for 30 days
No account is required
No analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs are included
No network connections are made by the app
